Happy New Year!
It is so crappy out and cold that I can't begin to envision a spring garden.
So leave it to my lovely mother in law, Kathy, with her optimism to give the girls and I a jump start to spring plantings.
We received as a Christmas gift from Kathy a Chia Herb Garden. Do you remember as a kid the Chia head? I always thought they'd be great to have but what do you with it after the fun is done. So this Chia Herb Garden is a much better version, it gives the fun of watching something grow that is edible.
The kit is easy to follow and the steps can be done by kids 2 and up. Growing a small indoor plant is great for young kids because it provides lessons on photosynthesis, agriculture and patience.
